SHEF funded the purchase of a set of leveled books for the first grade teachers who are piloting the Columbia Teachers College Readers Writers reading workshop. The classroom set of books is designed to meet many reading levels and serves 40 students. The books will be used by all 1st team teachers in the future as more teachers become trained in this new model.
